Doors open at 6.15pm and the event starts at 7.00pm. The expected finishing time is 9.51pm.
Matthew Warchus directs Andrew Scott (BBC’s Sherlock, Fleabag) in Noël Coward’s provocative comedy Present Laughter.
As he prepares to embark on an overseas tour, star actor Garry Essendine’s colourful life is in danger of spiralling out of control. Engulfed by an escalating identity crisis as his many and various relationships compete for his attention, Garry’s few remaining days at home are a chaotic whirlwind of love, sex, panic and soul-searching.
Captured live from The Old Vic in London, Present Laughter is a giddy and surprisingly modern reflection on fame, desire and loneliness. Note this production is filmed in front of a live audience, rather than broadcast live.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are priced £15 / £13 / £10. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all our seating is in seating blocks 2 metres apart from other seating blocks, so capacity is much reduced. We advise you to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Please try to select a seating block the same size as your group size.
Due to current coronavirus situation, we have revised our refund policy so you can request a ticket refund if you are ill or have concerns about coronavirus. We simply ask that you please contact the cinema by emailing manager@hebdenbridgepicturehouse.co.uk at the latest by 9am on the day of the screening giving your name and booking reference. Thank you!
