3pm – 8pm
Town Centre inc St George’s Square & @hebdentownhall

3pm - Event opens on stage in St George’s Square with the return of the BLAST Furness Street Band!

Then follows performances by Roxy our Aerial Lollipopist, Hebden Royd School Choir, Story Magic Theatre, The Remingtons, our crowd involving Dance with a Difference, and International fire favourites Flame Oz and glow show by Halo!

6pm - Lighting of the Christmas Tree, followed by a Halo finale before BLAST Furness leads the crowds back to the Town Hall for FREE mince pies and mulled wine!

There they’ll be entertainment by a fantastic Ukrainian Choir, BLAST Furness and Roxy!

Meanwhile Santa and his helpers will be busy all afternoon in his grotto in the Town Hall, while walkabout bubble performer and stilt santas/fairies will provide extra festive cheer!

Something for everybody - all for FREE - courtesy of funding from @hebdenroydtowncouncil and the tireless workforce of Hebden Bridge Rotary Club!

Busses will run every 10-20 minutes.

The festive season is here, and nothing brings a community together quite like events like Light Up The Valley, taking place from 3pm this Thursday.

These celebrations are the result of countless hours of hard work and heart from local volunteers, businesses, and organisations who pour their energy into making them magical for us all.

Sadly, the Mytholmroyd event on Saturday couldn’t go ahead due to the rain, snow and flood warnings and it was a real blow for everyone involved. So, let’s rally together and show our support this Thursday in Hebden Bridge!

🧤🧣Wrap up warm, bring the family, and soak up the festive cheer. Every smiling face, every person grabbing a hot chocolate, every cheer for the lights makes a difference.

🙏 Events like this are about more than twinkling fairy lights; they’re about showing the spirit of our valley. When we come together to support these efforts, we’re building community connections that last far beyond the festive season.

The community spirit of HX7 continues to thrive ❤️

We were blown away by the amount of votes that came streaming in… but there was one resounding winner…

CONGRATULATIONS to @weighstedhebdenbridge 🥳🤗🥰

Rachel Jones is the owner of Weighsted, a zero-waste, plastic-free shop located on Crown Street in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. With over 25 years of residence in the area, Rachel created Weighsted to offer the community an eco-friendly way to shop for everyday essentials and treats while promoting sustainability and reducing environmental impact. Inspired by visits to similar stores across the UK, she designed Weighsted to make waste-free shopping both accessible and affordable.

The shop provides refillable options for a wide variety of products, aiming to minimize waste while maintaining a community-focused ethos.

Weighsted has overcome challenges, including severe flooding in 2020, which disrupted operations. Rachel swiftly adapted by implementing click-and-collect services and home deliveries to support customers during the pandemic, earning praise for her resilience and commitment to sustainability .
