We like yoga. We like creativity. We nearly went nuts when the Yoga and Creativity Space opened up! A beautiful and versatile venue to run your workshops or pop-ups from, the project was set up by local creative legend, Hannah Nunn. Yes, that Hannah, who makes those gorgeous lamps and other lovely things. She wanted to offer a practical indoor space whose simple aesthetic and calming atmosphere inspire the creativity and mindfulness she enjoys so much herself. And she’s definitely done it.
Right in the heart of Hebden yet surprisingly quiet and private, Hannah’s latest venture is a light, airy and spacious interior for letting out to different practitioners. You can book a regular weekly slot or offer one-offs at the weekends, and already there are yoga teachers, a professional photographer and a creative mentor all running groups from here.
As well as a stunning main room big enough for up to ten yoga mats at a time, there’s a small kitchen with a cooker and fridge, plus a room for getting changed in. The space is equipped with chairs and tables too, so you could set it up for anything from jewellery-making to writing or drawing workshops.
If it’s yoga or mindfulness you want to offer, don’t worry. A qualified yoga teacher herself, Hannah provides all the bits and bobs you need like mats, bolsters and blankets. She even runs her own classes from here, so you know this place must be good.
