Radiance is another creative hotspot that feels part shop, part gallery, and entirely at home in our town. The name reflects the stunning collection of lighting products on sale here, but they’re only half the story, with gorgeous items like handmade cards, printed bags, wooden creatures and sustainable stationery providing tantalising gift ideas from less than a tenner.  If it’s the lighting you’re really here for, you’re in safe hands.  Owner Ffion has an intuitive eye for design and an enviable knack for discovering the most beautiful and unusual products to light up your life with.

Mostly handmade and typically inspired by nature, the lamps and shades here are much more than just everyday accessories – they’re centrepieces themselves.  There are origami lanterns by Wild Wood, illustrated paper shades from Lush Designs and ‘block printed’ handmade masterpieces by exciting newcomer, Hannah Madden.  How about a tealight lantern featuring a local scene by artist Kate Lycett, or one of Colin Chetwood’s stunning copper lampstands or wire and paper ceiling lights?

Oh, we almost forgot, Ffion’s mum is designer-maker Hannah Nunn, whose unmistakable paper cut lamps are one of the shop’s perennial best sellers.  Her gorgeous work is even available with personalised messages, perfect for weddings and births.
