Even in a town full of people people, they don’t come warmer and chattier than ex-teacher Sharon. Sharon’s been living here for more than 30 years now, and running her gorgeous home as B&B for five of those. Today, she has a loyal following of regular guests who come from every corner of the globe. They stay for a night or they stay for week or two – and more often than not they come back.
Hidden away on a charming back street in the heart of town, the house itself has two lovely, spacious double rooms with everything you could possibly need. One is en-suite, while the other has its own adjacent luxury bathroom, a double sofa bed and amazing views of the high street below (with amazing people-watching thrown in for good measure).
Breakfasts are whatever you like – from full English to fruit salad – and you can come and go as you please or just relax with Reggie and Rosie the rescue cats.
It’s the warm welcome and calming atmosphere people really come here for though, and the way Sharon’s natural way with people makes you feel instantly at home. We’re not talking ‘hospitality’ here; we’re talking good old-fashioned friendliness.
It’s the kind of thing you can’t learn anywhere, although you can read all about it on Garnet B&B’s glowing Trip Advisor reviews.
