Unless you’re still in nappies or were just born lucky, chances are you could use a good massage or some physio from time to time. Julie to the rescue!
Julie’s been a qualified physio for 13 years now, and she’s made it her mission to keep the people of Hebden healthier, happier and as pain-free as possible. What’s special about Julie’s approach is that she really ‘gets’ Hebden and the lifestyles of its locals, so her physiotherapy and massages are particularly geared towards fixing the aches, pains and injuries she sees in our community. From helping desk jockeys and new parents deal with bad backs through to Pilates for pensioners or treating worn out tradespeople – she really knows her stuff.
A cyclist, runner, climber and swimmer herself, Julie is highly attuned to the different injuries and strains linked to different sports. Whether it’s a relaxing massage or a customised routine of bends and stretches you need, she’ll get to know you and your lifestyle, then give you specialist care or rehab to keep you active. Don’t be scared by Julie’s sporty credentials though, she’s also easygoing and super-friendly too – just what you need if you’re feeling a bit fragile.
Julie works every weekday plus evenings on Mondays and Tuesdays, and she also runs a popular Pilates class every Monday, with novices very welcome. Her town-centre practice has parking right outside, or she does home visits if you’re struggling to travel. Julie even writes a brilliant blog with tips for keeping healthy and mobile (and don’t worry, she won’t tell you off for reading it slumped on the sofa).
