INSECT PRINTMAKING

Come and make an insect dry point etching using Tetra Paks, drawing needles, ink and a printing press. Let’s celebrate the multitudes of different wonderful insects that are crucial in our ecosystems as pollinators and food for other creatures. Insects are seriously under threat from all angles, let us honour them and think how we can protect them.

The work made in this workshop will be displayed in an exhibition on 15th-16th July as part of our Arts Trail, after which it is yours to keep.

Allow around an hour give the activity a go with artist Rachel Red and chat with environmental expert Martyna Krol. The Hebden Bridge Arts team will also be there to help you explore ways to be part of our Open Space 70 July festival.
