When it comes to trusting your haircut to someone with plenty of experience, you couldn’t be in safer hands at Headquarters. Sue has been helping Calderdale folk look fancy for more than 35 years now, and her current helper has been with her for 25 of those.
Sue herself is qualified to advanced level, and she’s also certified as a trainer so she can pass on her skills, which is handy for keeping standards high in her own salon. She and her team cut, colour and style the hair of customers of all ages, and she even has loyal regulars who’ve been returning since day one. This is a salon at the heart of the community, with a reputation for welcoming everyone whether they’re long-time locals or new to the area.
It’s not just the cutting and hospitality that’s top notch here –
Sue uses high-quality professional products too, including Biolage RAW. It’s a range that’s 97% natural and 99% biodegradable, striking the perfect balance between beauty, performance and being kind to the planet.
It’s hardly surprising that Sue is environmentally aware and doing her bit – her business was badly flooded in 2012 and 2015. She was lucky enough to be offered temporary premises by another local salon after the catastrophic 2015 floods, and today her own rebuilt business is virtually flood-proof. A trader with the grit to keep snipping and a reputation going back decades: we think that’s a business worth supporting.
