One word…WOW!  We’ve never been in a shop quite like this before, and that’s really saying something in Hebden Bridge.  It’s not just the tardis-like interior, twice as big as you expect: it’s the dazzling array of designs and colours that cover every inch of this Aladdin’s cave of glassware.

Locally born Gina has been working with glass all of her adult life, ever since graduating with a BA Hons in Glass and Ceramics. Today, her undeniably uplifting shop is packed with handmade artistic creations either crafted by Gina, or from makers based in the nearby hills that inspire her work.  Colour and pattern are big here, and with no two items exactly the same, it’s easy to find something totally unique and full of character, with prices from a couple of pounds to hundreds.

You’ll find everything from eye-catching jewellery and ornamental bowls right through to stunning lamps, seasonal trinkets or weird and wonderful wall mirrors.  Everything is made using traditional glass techniques, often in the workshop behind the shop’s counter. Gina designs and makes glassware to order too, and people from far and wide commission pieces in sizes, styles and colours of their choosing. Just bring your idea and let Gina bring it to life.

Upstairs is Hebden Views: a lovely self-contained holiday let, owned and run by Gina.  It’s a spotless and spacious apartment with two double rooms, the whole place joyfully decorated with her own unique work.  Struggling to choose from the treasures downstairs?  Stay a night or two, so you don’t have to rush!
