A new kid on the block in Hebden, Dragonfly couldn’t have fitted in better. Already, owner Joanne has a loyal fan club of fashion-lovers who come here for pretty much everything, from dressy dresses to the best–fitting jeans you’ll ever find.
If there’s a theme here, it’s flattering cuts in quality fabrics – different to the usual high street stuff. Mos Mosh is the name behind those must-have jeans, but they also do gorgeous jackets, trousers and T-shirts.
Danish brand Rue de Femme make delicate, feminine dresses and tops, while Air & Grace is your go-to brand for the ultimate espadrilles or super-comfy trainers a step above the usual suspects.
Holidaymakers should check out Pranella for gorgeous shorts, maxis and kaftans – perfect for the beach or the bar. If you like your designers a little bit obscure, don’t worry, Joanne has done her homework. Think bold and beautiful non-crease dresses from Onjenu, casual kit by A Postcard from Brighton, or Nu Denmark for an edgier All Saints look.
This is a friendly shop with all the fashion but none of the attitude: a place to have a natter and take your time.
