At HBFF we are dedicated to hosting dynamic, exciting, bold and beautiful global cinema and believe that filmmaking is such a powerful way to tell stories. We welcome filmmakers from any age, physical ability, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or belief system or background or geographical location.
The festival is F-Rated, we aim for at least 50% of films to be written by a woman, directed by a woman, or featuring women in significant on screen roles.
From Hannah Currie, last years short film award winner with:
‘We Are All Here’:
“Screening We Are All Here at Hebden Bridge Film Festival was such a warm, welcoming and positive experience that was so appreciated after a difficult year. Despite the pandemic they made amazing efforts to get our films seen and to connect us with other filmmakers. The festival really reminded me of the importance of independent film and cinema and why we must fight to keep it alive.”
Enter before the 6th February 2021 to join us for another incredible year!
